Another night (OPEN!)

Normally this late at night Connor would be at home, watching t.v. or finishing some homework or asleep. In fact he had planned to call it a night and get under his covers. But instead, he was filled with a sudden restlessness. It happened on occasion, his mind would get too cluttered with his anxieties and insecurities, and when it did he just needed to go on a walk.

So there he was, out walking in the dead of night. He wasn't entirely paying attention to where he was walking, just focused on putting on foot in front of the other and making sure he wasn't going to get jumped. 

Though when he did start to pay attention, he realized he was further from home than he normally was for his nightly walks. He somewhat recognized the area, the motel up ahead looking familiar, but everything always looked a bit weird at night. I should probably head back. he thought, rubbing his hands over his arms to warm them up a bit. It was chilly that night. Should have grabbed a jacket before taking off in just his flannel pajama pants and a t-shirt.

Just as he was about to turn around and backtrack home, a noise caught his attention. Stilling, Connor listened carefully and kept his eyes peeled. It sounded like struggling, coming form the alley by the rundown motel. With a frown, the teen quickly made his way over to investigate. Which in hindsight might not necessarily have been the smartest of ideas (anyone with a gun could still hurt him) but he wasn't the kind of guy who'd just walk away when something didn't seem right.

And indeed something had been very wrong. Looking into the alleyway, blue eyes widened upon seeing a fat man pinning some woman against the wall. "Hey!" he yelled out, hands clenching into fists as he stepped further into the dark alley. The man stopped in his actions to look at the nosy interloper, sneering at the boy. 

"Run along boy. This don't concern you. Just me and the whore havin' a little fun is all." Connor glared sharply at those words, continuing his advancement. 

"She doesn't look like she's having much fun to me." he growled out, reaching out a hand to grip the back of the man's shirt. With a yank, he pulled the man back with fluid ease, though perhaps a bit slower than if it was someone a whole lot skinnier, and shoved him to the opposite wall. "And I bet she doesn't appreciate you calling her that." The man looked shocked at first at being pulled away so easily, but soon that arrogant smirk was back.

"Think you're tough do ya?" he asked, his tone condescending. "Let's see how you handle this-" As he spoke his hand shot out and shot of fire came out of no where. It was hot and he could feel it burning holes in his shirt, but it wasn't quite hot enough to burn him. Not yet anyways. But it still surprised Connor and he knew he had to put it out before it stayed around long enough to hurt him. Dropping the man, he quickly took off his shirt and tossed it to the ground. 

The idiotic man thought he saw an oppertunity and tried to throw a punch his way, but was met with a hard chin as Connor grunted from the impact that surely did not feel good for his attacker. With a growl, Connor pulled back his own hand and slugged a fist into the man's face, breaking his nose with a crunch and watching him tumble down to the ground. 

The teen waited a few moments, waiting to see if he was going to do anything else before realizing the guy was unconscious. Shoulders sagging in relief, he turned to face the woman the guy had been attacking. "You ok?"

Connor gave a relieved smile as the woman claimed she was alright, glad he was able to help her before something really bad happened. When she thanked him, and introduced herself as Jasmine, Connor gave a shrug before rubbing the back of his neck. "Don't mention it. Was glad to help out." It was true. He was more than happy to help someone in need, especially in a situation like this. Who knew what the creep would have done had he not stepped in and helped out.

He didn't comment as she searched the guy and took his wallet, the man kind of deserved to be broke after what he tried to pull. Really the cops probably should have been called too, but then again if that happened the teen probably would have found himself in some serious trouble himself. He did sort of attacked the guy, even if he was defending someone in doing so. Not sure how well the military keeping an eye on everyone would feel about that.

He didn't want them keeping a closer eye on him.

Blue eyes blinked as money was suddenly handed to him, Connor blinking dumbly as he looked down at the bills as his mind registered what just happened. How much was there, he couldn't really comprehend. A lot? Regardless, as she mentioned of giving him more later, he quickly shook his head and tried to hand it back to her. "There's no need. Really, just saying thanks is enough." he said, flushing as he saw her stuff credit cards into her bra.

It was then he became aware of just what she was wearing. And quickly he turned his head and looked up as he shuffled from foot to foot. "So.. umm... yeah." he mumbled out, feeling awkward now. "You um.. take it. I wouldn't know what to do with it anyways." He really didn't.
