Whispers [Jim]

The young man sighed softly to himself, standing completley still in his spot agaisnt the tree, leaning his back agasint it. To anyone passing by, it would look like he wasn't breathing, if one didn't really look extra closely. More thna half his face was coverd by a hood, keeping his eyes out of sight.
The man moved his head slightly as he felt something sit down on his shoulder, the sound of wings flapping softly quieting down. The falcon moved it's beak towards his ear, making it look like it were whispering and sharing some secrets to the quiet man, before swiftly taking off again. 
"Hmm..." the guy mumbled, pushing himself off the tree, casually grabbing a stick and dragging it after him for a few steps, and then moving it lazily in front of him. "So it's still pretty much the same.

Jim had been passing through the park, in the mood for something bright and sunny. Not something dark and smelly like the streets of downtown. He had been hanging around there too much, so he needed a slight break from the trouble and fights he got into. He glanced around the park in a nonchalant way, before his gaze landed on a man standing still against a tree. The younger male couldn’t get much of a good look of the male due to the hood covering more than half his face. What’s with people with these damn hoods over their heads these days. Always hiding their faces, Jim thought to himself as he thought of Loki with that damn hoodie of his.


He blinked in surprise as he spotted a falcon landing on the male’s shoulder. And looked like it…was whispering into the male’s ears. As Jim headed down the cobblestone path near where the male was at the tree. He tilted his head to the side as he inspected the male, quirking an eyebrow as the man spoke to himself. “…Talking to the bird? Or yourself?” Jim questioned out finally, having enough of trying to figure the male out.

Garrett slowly came to a halt as he heard the teen speak, barely turinng his head to the ide, but stayed with his back facing the other. "Talking to everyone," he said in a flat voice, turning his head back straight ahead again. He blinked, realicting that his reply to the boy probably only made appar more like a creep. Been a while since he spoke with another person though, and not everyone could hear what he did. 
Mentally shrugging those thought off, he was about to keep walking but held himself back when he still could feel the boy's eyes on him. "You lost or something?" he asked just as casually, still not turing around to face him.

Jim furrowed his eyebrows at the male's answer, looking at him strangely. "Guess I'm not everyone then? Because I had no clue that I was being spoken to." Jim interjected back to the strange male, tilting his head to the side. Either this guy sucked at being social. Or he was just some strange asshole, Jim thought to himself, not really keen on the male's flat voice. A frown formed upon Jim's lips at the man's question. "No, I'm not.And how did you come to that conclusion?" he questioned the male in an annoyed tone.

"Wasn't aware of your presence until now. So, nope, you don't count," Garrett answered, just as flatly as before. He titled his head slightly again, seeming to focus on soemthing else instead of Jim talking behind him. "You're talking to a hooded and complete stranger, in the middle of a big park, for no apparent reason. Either you're just bored out for your mind, or need a distraction from something."
he casually drew his stick in the ground infront of him, humming a little to himself. "Or you're lost," he added again smartly, not botherd by the annoyed tone.

Garrett merely hummed, placing both hands on the stick he was holding and slightly leaning some of his weight on it. Well, the boy surely did bring up a good point there. Pretty much everyone in this city we're creeps, ever since that accident five years ago, turning half of Tawton City's citizen into maniacs of some sort. Pretty sure most nowdays hung around with some 'odd people'.
His interesset perked a little as Jim mentioned this jester guy though, recalling having heard about some mad-man fitting that description. "Not just time to mull over things then," he stated, raising his arm in mid air slightly. Shortly after, the sounds of wings flapping returned and the falcon from before took it's seat on Garrett's shoulder. 
Just like before, the bird appeard to whisper something in the young man's ear, who in turn just gave a small node, and then finally turned fully around to face the teen. Not that his eyes were visble yet from beeneth the hood though.

Jim shifted back and forth onto his left foot, focusing his gaze onto the stick that the male was leaning onto. Wonder what he needs that for, Jim thought to himself curiously. “Time to mull over?” the younger male question the other male’s statement. Not really sure if the male was talking to himself again or to Jim. His head turned at the sound of flapping winds and saw that it was that falcon that Jim had seen before. “…Talk to animals or something?” Jim questioned out referring to the bird seemingly whispering into the male’s ears as evidence.


Would probably be the explanation to why the man had been speaking to himself. He was probably speaking to the bird. I guess we got another person with powers then. Probably, Jim thought to himself as he blinked in surprise as the male finally turned around. Though some of his face was covered by the hood.

Garrett stood still for another moment, as if not having expected for Jim to still be standing there. "Kinda obvious that I do, wouldn't ya think," he stated, still with that unreadble ad flat tone. The falcon then chirped, making Garrett's expresionless face twitch into a small grin and snicker. "Yeah, he does sound like one," he agreed to whatever the falcon ahd just said, and began walking forward, casually dragging the stick behidn him lazily.

Jim tensed up at the male's statement, gritting his teeth in slight anger. "I just wanted to make sure that I had guessed right!" he retorted in an irritated tone. He blinked in surprise as the man's expressionless face turned into a snicker. Jim quickly glanced to the falcon, wondering what it had said to make the male's expression change so quickly. Jim growled darkly, clenching his fists in anger at the male's next remark. "What do I sound like, huh?" he quickly questioned the male, following after him for his answer. He was about fry that damn bird, Jim thought to himself as he glowered at the bird.

Talk about a temper, Garrett thought absently to himself as he passed the teen, at this point mostly just ignoring him. He didn't seem to care at first when Jim then started following him, apparnetly annoyed at Garrett's nonchalant and unbotherd behavior. Or maybe it was for what he said? 
He came to a halt, turning his head slightly to the side, the falcon looking back at Jim in his stead from Garrett's shoulder. 
''Sensetive one ain't he'', the bird chripped, again reciving a nodd and snicker from the hooded male. "Like a grumpy old man," Garrett then flalty replied to Jim's question, poking Jim lightly in the stomach with his stick. "Unless you want wrinkles and grey hair already, do something about that temper of yours," he added just as casually and continued on his walk.

Jim came to a stop, eyeing the bird that chirped something to the other male, who just nodded before commenting something. He scowled darkly at the other male, his eyebrow twitching in irritation. Oh yes, this guy and his bird were assholes. Jim then blinked in surprise as the male poked him the stomach with that stick. "I'm a moody asshole of a teen. So...how about I release some of that temper, hm?" Jim remarked with a smirk, as electricity sparked out the ends of his fingers. Suddenly he sent a quick dart of electricity towards the bird, wanting to give it a small zap. "Expressionless asshole." he added with annoyance.

Garrett titled his head again, with a somewhat confused looking expression under his hood. "Teen? You sound so much older though," he said bluntly. "See, that temper is already doing a number on your age."
The he narrowed his eyes in attention as he heard some sparking sound, and had only a half second to blink before the falcon let out a frighetnd chirp and flew off. Garrett however, had only moved his head a bit to the side at the small attack, and could hear his little companion yell something along the lines of Jim being a grumpy maniac. 
Brushing off his shoulder, Garrett swiftly smacked Jim on the head with his staff, not enough to leave a mark btu enough to hurt. "Bad, very bad," he scowled him like one would do to a three year old. "Now you own Aiden an apology."

Jim scowled a bit, rolling his eyes. "I'm 18 years old, can't help I hit puberty faster than others." He smirked in delight as the spark zapped the bird, sending it flying off of the male's shoulder. Jim laughed a bit as it can on chirping, probably yelling something down at him in anger. "That's what you get." Jim scoffed a bit, before cursing out as he got smacked on the head with the staff. "Ouch! What the hell man!" Jim shouted to the other male, glaring at him and that stick darkly. He gritted his teeth as the man scolded him like a child. "Oh screw off. I'm not apologizing to some damn bird." Jim rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Aiden was right, you are pretty damn sensitive," Garrett mused, as if talking to himself. He sighed and shaked his head at Jim's over the top reaction, unwillingly being reminded of another teen who acted like this one whenever he got pissed off. Those two would've surely gotten along, he thought to himself, frowning at the thought.
"Quit your crying, i'm sure you've heard worse from people half your age," he rolled his eyes, giving Jim another smack with the stick just for the heck of it before turning around to leave.

Jim scowled a bit, rolling his eyes at the older male. "Get over it." He quipped, shrugging his shoulders. He didn't need to be reminded and told of his sensitivity and temper. Jim knew that he was a moody asshole. No need to be reminded of such. "Shit! Quit that!" Jim retorted to the other male, rubbing at his head feeling a bit sore up there now. He was tempted enough to snatch that stick out of his grasp and hit him with it. But of course, Jim always thought of fun ways of getting back at people. His powers of course really came in handy. "How about you get the same taste as your bird?" Jim commented out as a small ball of electricity formed in his hand, before he slung it directly at the strange male.

Narrowing his eyes again as he heard those sparking sounds from before, Garrett quickly spun out of the way the exact same moment Jim slung his attack towards him. Wasting no seconds, he swiftly moved his staff under the teen's legs tripped him. His hood had dropped down due to the fast and sudden movements, now leaving Garrett's face fully revealed. 
Before Jim had time to get up, the tip of Garrett's staff appeard merely inches away from the teen's face, stopping him from getting up.
"Electrokinesis?" the older mused, sounding somewhat impressed as his unfocused eyes narrowed slightly. "Fascinating. Ever killed anyone with those powers yet?"

Jim’s eyes widened in surprise as the male quickly spun out at the time to avoid the ball of electricity. In a swift second, he suddenly felt his legs go out below him as the male’s staff went for his legs. Jim cursed under his breath as he fell to the ground. He was about to jump right back up but was immediately stopped as he noticed the tip of the staff merely inches away from his face. He scowled darkly as he glanced up at the male above him. He blinked in surprise as he noticed the male’s eyes. He felt a bit strange to have had attacked a blind person. But diminished that feeling due to the fact that this blind stranger had just avoided his attack and had his ass on the ground. Like he was going to feel sorry for someone like that.


Jim quirked an eyebrow at the sound of the male being impressed by his power. “Well you figured that out quickly” he murmured in a sarcastic tone. Then furrowed his eyes at the male’s last comment. “Uh…no. And I don’t want to either” he replied up to the male, looking at him like he was crazy. “What even kind of question was that?!” he questioned the male in confusion. Sure, Jim had beaten up the other people in fights. But he had never gotten close to killing someone.

Garrett's felt himself smirk, and couldn't help the short laughter that left his lips at the teen's reaction. A little to grumpy for his age, and some serious anger issues, but at least he wasn't boring. Though he better try and not piss of this guy too much, in case he wanted to get electrocuted. 
"The sparking sounds where a big give-away," he stated flatly, relaxing his shoulders while taking a few steps away from Jim, holding out his staff for him as an offer to help him get back up. 
"Relax, it's not like i was accusing you of murder," Garrett rolled his eyes, holding himself back from giving Jim another smack to the head, just for the heck of it. "And next time you feel like zapping something or someone, do it elsewhere."

Jim scowled a bit at the male's answers, glancing away. "Still can't believe you avoided it, dammit." Jim cursed slightly in annoyance as he glanced back to see that the male had held out his staff to him. He stared at it for a moment before hesitantly grabbing a hold of it and pulling himself off the ground with it. Now he knew a little bit to why the male had the blasted stick. Though Jim didn't believe that it's use was to whack people across the head.

"You pissed me off. So I tried to zap you...at least I got the damn bird." Jim scoffed as he brushed at his pants slightly. He raised an eyebrow at the male before him. "It was just a strange question. Though I do work for someone who's murdered before." Jim shrugged his shoulders slightly. That was Clopin's business so he didn't care much.

Garrett chuckled again, though much quieter this time. "Let's just say I've certain 'experience' dodging stuff aimed for my head," he said with a sigh, lazily pulling his hood back over his head. Yeah he had 'experience' alright. Growing up with two younger brothers who had the bad habbit of throwing everything they saw when angerd had given him some pretty good reflexes apparently. 

He scowled slightly at teen then, his shady gaze giving him a warning glare at what he said. "For your sake, Aiden better be not be paralyzed or fried somewhere," he mutterd, turning his back to Jim and debatting weather he should just leave or give the bra another good whack to the head. Maybe that'll just make him lose more braicells.
He turned his head to the side slightly as Jim continued to speak, his expression still and unreadable. "Then you'll eventually kill someone too," he stated with a shrugg. "Working for men like that always has great influence on you, especillay with a temper like that."

Jim quirked an eyebrow at the male's explanation for his dodging of Jim's powers. "Guess you pissed off quite alot people then if you have so much experience." he remarked in a dry tone, rolling his eyes as the man pulled the hood back over his head. Wonder who he pissed off. The way that sounded, it was like he was talking about someone having a tempter tantrum and throwing anything at him. Wouldn't blame them..

He snickered darkly at the man's threat about the bird that he had zapped earlier. "Don't worry. I didn't put that much of a zap into him. Just burned...slightly," Jim grinned, shaking his head a bit. His eyebrow raised at the male's assumption of Jim killing someone in the future due to Clopin. "Nah, I don't worship that old man. Worshiping that man goes to Loki, guess since they knew each other longer." Jim replied to the male's assumption, shrugging is shoulders a bit. Think he was right about that the two tricksters knew each other for some time. "As long as I got a good hold over my powers, then I'm fine."

"Eh, pissing people off is in my genes I guess," Garrett assumed, only half litseing ot the other really. But maybe that's how it was, his family ahd always had the tendecies of driving other up the wall, just beacuse they could. Man, no wonder I'm so messed up, he thoguht absently to himself.
His expression turned into an unamused one at Jim's remark, making a menatl note to look this brat up and paralyze him while he's sleeping if Aiden wasn't ok. Though he's pretty sure his companion made it ok, he's been through worse stuff, and somehow survied.

Deciding that he's spent more than enough time around the grumpy teen, Garrett began to leave, only to abruptly halted in his tracks as he heard an all to familiar nickname. 
Loki. Loki... Lukas.
With his back facing Jim, the teen wasn't able to see the shocked expression on the older male, which was quick to change back into his stoic and unreadable mask. Could it really be...?
"Another one working for this Clopin?" he asked calmly, his surprise and disbelief well hidden.

Jim tilted his head at the stranger, seeing that the male was about to walk off but came to a halt. Had he said something strange or something? At his sudden calm question, Jim quirked an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest. “Yeah. Some midget of an asshole who’s a pain in the neck. And…somehow I had befriended.” Jim shrugged his shoulders remembering that he had only hung around Loki when he first met him through Clopin. Did he regret the friendship? No, not really. No matter how much the male brought trouble onto him and such. Though their friendship had been tested recently these past days. There was something there between both of the males that Jim just couldn’t place his finger on.


“He’s a bit of a trickster, so he gets along pretty well with the old maniac.” Jim added with a slight grin. Though he was a bit glad that the teen didn’t dress as crazy like the Jester. Oh god…he would be so embarrassed to be seen with the trickster.

'Some midget of an asshole who's a pain in the neck.' That descirtpion was frighteningly fitting if Jim was talking about who Garrett thought it was. And... 'befriended?' He felt a small, genuine smile creep onto his face at this. It this really did turn out to be Lukas, then it was a relief to hera that at least he wasn't alone. However, it didn't calm him at all to know the trickster hung around and got along well with a murderer. But it didn't surprise him either, sadly.

"A 'trickster' huh," Garrett murmured to himself, rubbing his temple. "Kinda hard to belive such a grump like you are friends with him," he snorted. "...for how long have you known him?"
