Let your fear subside. [Jason Todd}

Crysta wandered through the mostly abandoned strip of land, swerving around corners and occasionally tripping over some litter that got there who knows when. As much as she didn't enjoy the almost ready to crumble buildings and the almost constant stench of filth and urine, she was somewhat glad that people didn't come here often. Except, of course the select few that either just creeps, lost, or like Crysta had taken this path in order to get to her flat without confrontation.

Crysta turned another corner, managing to travel through the alleys with almost complete ease. Almost.
As she went further through the dark alley, the stench somehow manage to get worse, and Crysta's eyes watered as she went to cover her nose. Ugh. What is that vile smell?
As disgusted as Crysta was, she continued down the alley as it wouldn't be too far until she reached another street of Japan Town.
She always hated this part of downtown, it seemed dodgy just because of the fact that the buildings looked ready to crumble, not to mention the rats that somehow were constantly around. 

Crysta stopped short as she heard deep, husky breathing, that seemed to be getting closer and closer. Yet, she couldn't see anything, and whatever the breathing was seemed somewhat threatening. Crysta started walking again, only seeing shadows and silhouettes of objects in front of her, and quickened her pace. "Hey," there was a deep grumble, coming from behind Crysta, and the surprise of it made her wings flare out and made her turn. She vaguely saw a man with a stubbly beard before he grabbed her arm, which made her instinctively scream. The man released her arm, and doubled over, coughing up some sort of liquid Crysta hoped wasn't what she though it was. No, no, not again!

Another unevetful fucking day at the job, the 'under-cover-agent' thought dissapointed to hismelf, startign to think it was possible to actually die out of pure boredom. Wouldn't surprise him, not that he thought about it. He's expericned alot of crazy shit since he was 'hired' by the Militray. Or more like enslaved by them, that sounded more accurate. Ok, Jason did-sort-of-maybe enjoyed half of the things he got to do for them, but he ain't enjoying following orders like some dog. Normally, he'd look past those small detail and just gets the job done, enjying the rushses and thrills of excitment het of it. Unlike today, where no of the 'mission's' he's had over the past weeks been even a little exciting. Nothing to bad happeing or getting out of control. And if something did happen, he was only orderd to report it, before taking action if really neccesary. 
The young man sighed, laying down on the rooftop he ahd choosen to be his current resting spot, taking a deep dragg of his ciggarette. No, he knew what his problem was. As much as he loved having something to do, calm nights were never a bad thing once in a while either. But it was easier to not think on certain things when he was busy breaking somehing, or someone. 
"Well, better find a place to crash," he mutterd, tossing the cancer stick and grabbing his infamous helmet. At least he still ahd freedom to roam wherever the hell he wante-

He stopped whe a scream suddenly broke out, ironiclly right below the building Jaosn was currently standing on. Raising an eyeborw, he moved ver to the edge, spotting two bodies moving around in the allies. At first he thought nothing of it, not his problem if a girl got attacked or not after all, and was about to be on his merry way, untilhe caught the rather...intressting outcome of the little scene. 
Narrowing his eyes, he was quck to find his way down, helmet barely even on and landed quietly somwhere behind the girl. Titling his head, he to his surprise saw the man looking very much dead on the ground, only spoting some small trace of blood from the dead's mouth, but no other mortally injury. He scanned the winged-girl over quickly, as trying to figure this little riddle out by just looking at her. She didn't appear to have any sort of wepons on her.
"Not exactly how I expected it to turn out," he spoke up casaully as he stepped out from the shadows, walking past Crysta and crouching down to inspect the dead further. "Huh... What kind of abilites were you blessed with then?" he chuckled darkly, looking over his shoudler at her as he stood back up. "Or should I say, cursed?"

Crysta felt kind of numb after she realized he was indeed dead, and it did indeed happen again. With a broken sigh, she rubbed her hands up and down her arms, her wings lowering to be flat against her back. "Damnit..." She mumbled, before getting ready to turn around. However she was stopped by a voice, and due to far too recent occurrence, she flinged herself towards the slightly moist wall. It might have been an accomplice of the man who now lay dead on the ground, or maybe just someone passing through at an incredibly inconvenient time. Crysta's eyes followed the mans form as he walked past her, then crouched and inspected the body. His dark chuckle sent a shiver down her spine and even through her wings, and because of this, she suddenly felt a lot smaller than she already was when he stood up again. Cursed? He's managed to hit the nail right on the head. 
Crysta looked downwards in attempt to avoid looking at him, furrowing her eyebrows. Before, letting some adrenaline take over. "What's it to you?" she snapped, still avoiding looking at him. "I don't know you." she let a distasteful scorn lay upon her face, before she side stepped away from the wall and attempted to walk away.

(That's right, I'm making Crysta rude for once on adrenaline instead of just completely emotionally unstable xD Lets just pretend it's Loki's fault)

Jason gave the girl a blank look behind his helmet, mildly amused at her fierce reaction. Not just a pretty face then, he thought unimpressed as he examined the dead body once more. No stab wounds or trace of any sort of physical violence. Whatever this girl could do, it was the perfect way to get away with murder apparently.
"Not so fast Tinkerbell," he said without looking at her, straightening back up all calmly and unbothered, as if he had not just witnessed someone get killed righ before his eyes. Well, that was daily thing for Jason afterall, it stopped being unsettling for him since... um, way back. Couldn't really remember how used he was to this sort of things afterall.
"Apparnetly, taking lifes is a normal occurence for you, seeing as you so easily just turned your back and were about  to leave like it never happend," he stated, taking firm but still relaxed steps over to Crysta, making sure keep her back agaisnt the wall in case she decided to run for it anyway. If thse pretty little wings of hers showed to be more than just decorations, then he'd have no problem shooting them off either. It's been awhile since he had some target practice afterall.

Crysta gave a ticked off look at being called 'Tinkerbell' but also the fact that this guy knew she was gonna try and leave. He seemed too calm at the situation, and that made Crysta feel nervous. Who is this guy? 
She turned to face him again, popping out her hip and crossing her arms, but lost her confidence when he spoke about how she was simply going to leave after killing a man. She shuffled her feet, face dropping and fingers rubbing against her thumbs. "I- It was an accident." she mumbled, sighing. "They- They were all accidents." she attempted to whisper to herself, but was probably actually quite loud. 
Crysta started backing up as he took relaxed steps forwards, only to be stopped by that same wall she had leaped to earlier. I'm starting to hate this wall.She did of course think about using her wings, but after previous experiences in trying to fly but just hovering then falling flat on her face, thought it was just a bad idea. 
Crysta looked skeptical as she looked the man up and down, still backed up against the wall and crushing her wings slightly. Without realizing, her bottom lip trembled, and she took in a gasp-like breath. She was trapped... because of some guy with a helmet, and a wall.

Jason snorted at her words, not stopping his advance towards her until he was toweirng over her smaller form, looking half as intimidating than he could get. "Accidents or not," he bgean in a cold voice, bending down until he was at eyelevel with the girl. "It's still a crime to kill."
He stared at her closely from behind the helmet, as if tryign to figure the blackhaired girl out in some way. Whatever ability she held, it was dangerous, and something the militray would love to get their hands on...
As he looked at her face, he couldn't help but get the feeling of familiarity hit him, getting reminded of someone he knew long ago, but whose face was to blurry to make out. Narrwoing his eyes, he straightned back up and took a step back, giving her back some space. "So we could do this easy way, or the hard way," he spoke in a bored manner, taking out his knife. "How did you kill that poor bastard?"

It's a crime to kill, even accidentally, yet I seem to have gotten away with it so far. Crysta's eyes turned cold, and her breathing became heavy, still feeling far too small even with the man leaning down to be eye level with her. Although she couldn't see his eyes properly, she could still feel them staring her down.
He stepped back, and Crysta felt she could breathe lighter again, until he took out a knife that is. He couldn't be serious, after all she'd only be able to tell him if she were alive. Her eyes went frantic, however in a moment of blind bravery she said something she thought she would regret. "Once again, I do not know you. So I will not say." she seethed, wishing her wings weren't so damn small.

Instead of getting angry, Jason smirked in delight. Well, it would've been boring if she'd just did as he told without any resitance, so he didn't mind this much at all. So, he gave a small shrugg, as if saying 'I tried', and suddenly the knife in his hand was inches away from her face, stuck in the wall where head was closest too. 
"I doubt you knew that dude," he said casually as he watched some black hair strands that'd been cut off slide down from her shoulder. "And yet you killed him. So, you knowing me or not doesn't really matter now does it?"

Crysta raised an eyebrow at him shrugging, so she thought maybe she wouldn't get killed by this maniac with a knife. But she blinked and everything happened too quickly, the knife was stuck in the wall next to her head and her messy hair had even been cut. She turned her head and looked at the knife that was in his hand, and the wall, before releasing a quiet whimper and turning back to him with wide eyes. She had definitely been blocked on one side and had she wanted to escape her only chance would now be to run for it the opposite side.
"Holy shit." She breathed, fear now painted on her face. This guy is nuts, who even IS HE!? She took a sharp intake of breath, eyebrows furrowed. "I did kill him! I did not know him! And, his mistake was touching ME!" Crysta shouted, her voice shaky and quivering.

Jason chuckled, enjoying watching the fear grow in the girl's eyes and titled his head slightly. "Whoops, slipp of the hand," he taunted, closing in on her again. "Next time," he purred in a dangerously dark voice, placing one arm on the wall right above her head and blocking yet another way out for her. "I won't miss~"
He hummed lightly at her little outburst, still amused by the whole situation at hand and moved his hand away from the wall. "You don't like being touched?" he snickerd, his hand now suddenly wrapped around her neck instead. "And why's tha-"
Befroe he would've tighetnd his gripp, his eyes suddenly widend behind his mask at the sudden pain shooting out through his entire body, and roughly pused the girl away from him. "What the fuck..?!" he spat out, feeling blood welling up in his mouth and quickly threw off his helmet, only to fall down to his knees and throw up the red and heavy liquid. He felt his body grow numd within seconds, and was compeltley immobile before he felt his breathe die in his throat.
Oh for fucks sake not again...! was his last thought as he felt the familiar embrace of death wrapp around him.

Crysta started shaking the moment he put his arm over her head, and Crysta let out an exasperated breath. This wasn't going to end well for one of them. Crysta bit her bottom lip, watching his actions, and confused because she couldn't read his his expressions due to his helmet.
Crysta's eyes practically bulged out of her skull when he wrapped his hand around her neck, knowing what was coming. Even though this guy was a complete and utter psychopath, she still didn't like the results of her power. Crysta was pushed away roughly, however she was simply pushed hard into the wall, hurting her back and wings. Balancing herself, and wincing in pain, she stared sadly at the now cursing stranger. She never enjoyed the aftermath of her touch, it was just sickening to her. Watching him take off his helmet, she frowned at the fact that he appeared in his early twenties. 'He looks so young... but he is also an ass.' She told herself, trying to stop the guilt that was slowly grasping her conscience.
Crysta sighed, holding her arms. "T-that's why..." She mumbled as his breathing stopped.

It didn't always necceraly take a long time for Jason to wake back up, it mostly depended really, on how torned up or badly wounded he was. This time however, all his bodyparts where still intact, and so it only took a couple minutes before Jason opened his eyes. 
From where he layed on the ground, Crysta couldn't see his face, and Jason just allowed himself a few seconds to make sure he rememberd what had just happend correctly. Hm... he thought as he felt air reutrn to his lungs. This could get tricky.

He groand as he finally moved, spitting out the blood that still lingerd in his mouth before standing fully bakc up. Shiiiit. His body still freaken hurts.
Rubbing his neck, he glared at the girl with his cold eyes, looking ready to rip her apart for a quick seconds before letting out a deep breathe. "Impressive," he said then, all calm and actually being honest as he said this.

Crysta preoccupied herself with rubbing  her hurting back and wings, knowing her back at least was going to bruise. She stared back at the body of that psychopath, letting out another sigh. But, then he moved, and Crysta froze. Oh my god... "WHAT THE FU-" She covered her mouth, watching him with frantic eyes as he coughed out more blood, and simply got up. Crysta got into a somewhat defensive position, legs apart and slightly crouched, she was ready to bolt if needs be. This man was meant to be dead. And he clearly wasn't. He glared at her, and in turn she furrowed her eyebrows, sure he was going to kill her... successfully this time. But she was shocked when he became calm and seemed to complement her ability. "Y-you're meant to be dead... Why aren't you dead!? How!?" She screamed, losing her control and practically pulling out her hair as she held her head.
This- This isn't possible...

Jason merely gave the shocked girl a tired look, wipping off the blood still trailing down from his lips. At her statemnt he couldn't help but let out a snort. "Yeah, I know. Was suppose to stay dead since seven years back actually," he mutterd, streacthing out his legs and rolling his shoulders carefully, trying to make his muscles and nevers wake back up a little faster. He still felt numb all over, he ahd to be extra carefull not touch this girl again if it hurt this much everytime. Not that he'd say this out loud, but that sure was a good way to slow him down. 

Rubbing his neck again, he groaned under his breathe in discomfort, slowly moving in closer to Crysta but made sure to keep enough distance this time just in case. "Ok, let's start from the begining," he sighed, this time loading a gun instead of holding a knife. "Explain how that ability of yours work."
Unlike the first time he demnaded answears, he soundes less entusiastic now.

Crysta looked at his face, letting go of her hair, and scanning it as if she'd be able to tell if he was lying, but didn't seem to find any sign of it. "Seven years?" she said, slightly dumbfounded and looking very confused. He took a lot of time to get back up however, and Crysta wasn't sure whether or not it was another part of the effects of touching her, or just the fact that he just died.
However, running away from him didn't seem to cross her mind until he was up and standing again, but he was moving a lot slower this time. Could she risk it? Just as she was about to bolt, she saw him pull out and load a gun, which made Crysta let out yet another exasperated sigh. Damnit.
She turned her shock into a glare and crossed her arms. "Tell me why you aren't dead first!" she shouted, trying to cover up her voice still shakey.

Did I think outloud again? Jason thought unbotherd at the confused look Crysta gave him, holding the gun lazily by his side. Even if it may not look like it at the moment, Jason's reflexes were still damn fast, and wouldn't even blink before shooting the girl on the pot if she tried to make a run for it. Still, didn't mean he wasn't still hurting as heck though... Ugh, for how much longer would the effects last anyway?

He rolled his eyes at her shout, covering one ear the second she did while kicking up his helmet and easily catching it. "Don't raise your voice you damn pixie, I think you even made my eardrums bleed," he groaned, returing the glare. 
He thouhgt about her demand for a couple seconds, before giving another shrugg. "I've no fucking clue," he deadpanned. "But surely it's beacue of the same reason you have that... lovely ability," he grimaced slightly at the last part.

Crysta pouted, looking towards the side, "Don't call me pixie." she mumbled.
Raising an eyebrow at his response though, she also was quick to grimace as he sarcastically called her power 'lovely'. She sighed, muttering "And to think I simply wanted to go home." and raising her hands in annoyance.
Rolling her eyes, Crysta was pretty much still considering running off, but judging by the way the man was holding the gun so casually by his side, she assumed that he'd handled it often enough to be skilled at using it, so that idea was out the window. So instead she talked to him "I won't tell you about my 'ability' because I don't know you, so tell me, what is your name, mask man?"  she hummed casually, calling him 'mask man' in the same way she had been called 'pixie'.

"Fine, Tinkerbell then," Jason shot back, starting to get a little annoyed with this situatuion. Certainly not the way he had expected it to go. He can't say he wans't slightly intrigued by this ability of hers, but neither was he overly found of the fact that he had died again. Just beacuse he always came back didn't mean he was ok with getting killed. It fucking hurts.
"Don't we all wish to go home," he mutterd quielty, frownig slightly at hearing that word. 'Home', the hell even was that in the end. 
He let out a growl this time, resisting the urge to shoot her wings right off. He inhaled, forcing himself to calm down and not go on anothe rkilling spree. Last time he lost his temper, the punishment he reccived really made him wished he stayed dead.
"Fine," he sighed, pulling his gun away and holding out his arms in a mock surrender gesture. "Run along home then, without leaving a trail behind you this," he warned, kicking at the other body that had actaully stayed dead. "And we'll just talk next time."

Crysta looked at him skeptically, it seemed too easy. "You seem far too nonchalant about this..." she mumbled, wincing slightly when he kicked the dead body. It made her wonder though, did he really mean that he'd just let her go, just so he wouldn't have to tell her her name? "Besides," she breathed, "Who said there will be a next time?" She tilted her head back slightly, trying to make herself seem taller than she was. 
She looked to her side and saw his knife that was somehow still stuck in the wall, so she decided to pull it out using most of her strength and give it back, not realizing that her holding a weapon could appear to be some sort of threat. "My hair was already a mess, then you pulled this on it." She muttered, shaking her head.
Slowly, she started stepping towards him, but not before running her fingers over the blade and saying "You also need to sharpen this."

Jason just ignred the skeptical look the girl gave him, and merely stared back with a bored expression. He narrowed his eyes slightly at her words, taking yet another few steps closer when she tried to make herself look taller, and had to bend down his neck to keep their eyecontact. "I just did," he said in harsh, firm tone, showing Crysta by merely stadning there and and litterly looking down at her, that trying to act tough and all unbotherd was doing her no favors. 

He watched amusedly when she moved to remove his knife from the wall, and had to hold back dry laughter when it turned out to be a little more than challenging. "I'll do more than just give your hair a trim next time then," he snickerd, standing still on his spot even she staretd to close in on him. With his knife in ehr hand like this, one would suspect she was about to stab him or something. He only rasied an eyebrow at her remark, still unmoving from where he stood. "Then you do that, Pixie. Keep the old thing, it'll help you keep creeps away from touching you," he said calmly, crossing his arm over his chest. 
He gave her another thoughtful look before speaking again. "You can call me Jason, mask man just reminds me of some kind of lame super hero," he chuckled.

Crysta let out a groan at being called 'pixie' again, before holding the blade end of the knife carefully in her hand and having the handle pointing to him. "Nah, I wouldn't know how to use it anyway." she half laughed, looking down slightly and gesturing him to take it back. "I'd just get pulled up by the cops if I were caught carrying around a knife anyway, and everyone knows how physical they can get." She said, referring to the crime she had seen even before everyone got abilities.

Crysta bit back a laugh at his comment about sounding like a lame superhero. You're carrying around a mask that's basically a helmet, are you one to talk? she thought, biting the inside of her cheek. "Well then, Jason, I'm Crysta."

Jason snorted at her reason, looking more amused than annoyed at this point. Ignoring the knife being offerd back to him, he just walked past her instead, his infamous helmet lazily being tossed up and down as he headed outside of the dark alley. "Then just keep it out of sight, like everyone else does," he statd simply, knowing even the 'innocent' ones carried their fair share of weapons around in this town. 
He turned back around to look at her once more, and as if having heard her thoughts gave his helemt a slight look of distatse. "This thing wasn't my idea," he clarified. "My emplyres just want me to hide my face most of the time, for some fair reasons I suppose," he murmured the last part of his sentence. 
His icyblue eyes focused bakc on her one last time, smirking at the girlbefore pulling his helmet back on. "In that case, Crysta, until next time~"
And he was out of sight.
